I love shopping for new things, but rediscovering old favourites is just as wonderful, and far less painful on the pocket. Cait is the talented lady behind She’s Got a Passion for Fashion, and when she wore this stunning tartan dress I realised there was something similar lurking in the depths of my wardrobe.

Cait’s tartan treat was made by her own fair hand (this girl’s got mad skills!) whereas mine is a high street purchase, and although I spent a good 20 minutes prancing around Office in a similar pair of shoes, I went for simple brogues. Yes I was cold, but I fear my current parka-hat-scarf-gloves combo would ruin my style credentials for life.

Who’s inspiring you today?

PS – Have you seen what’s on offer on the Second Day of Christmas? Take a look!

I’m loving the way you paired the blouse and the dress, it looks great! I’m not sure who’s inspired me, I’m just going with the flow I guess.

Ahhh the joys of owning a car! Tartan is popping up all over the place at the moment, I am stalking a girl I keep seeing on my morning starbucks run who has an amazing tartan cape.. one day i’m going to have to ask her where it’s from!

Love tartan prints – they always make me think of winter, and you have in turn reminded me to crack out a tartan dress i kinda love, and rarely wear, so the inspired by chain continues 🙂

I love Tartan and that dress is really pretty. I’m inspired to wear something similar now as well.
The silk blouse goes really well with it as well.

This dress is stunning, at first glance I thought it may have been a certain Ms Westwood…I actually did! The way you’ve styled it is perfect for these colder days xx
