First of all, let me apologise for the messy bedroom. I’ll tidy it later, promise! 🙂
On to more important things. Monday mornings usually mean grey skies, traffic jams and gloomy faces, but today I took matters into my own hands and cheered myself up with a highly inappropriate outfit. I’m a real rock girl at heart – I love grungy tees and ripped jeans, but usually only wear them for gigs. But why not for the office? Well, probably because the shorts and too short and the tights are too sheer, hence the reason I actually wore my denim pencil skirt instead of the shorts. Never mind!

I originally tried this outfit with a mustard yellow knitted tank for a 60s vibe, but the fabrics just didn’t sit nicely together and the whole thing looked a little cheap. So I popped on this cute nautical knit from my car boot haul the other weekend, and voila! A laidback look perfect for a gloomy Monday.
How are you all dealing with the clocks going back? I love the darker nights – they remind me that Halloween, Bonfire night and Christmas (my three all time favourite celebrations) are just around the corner! 🙂

New Look vest, thrifted skirt, Primark tights, thrifted shoe boots, thrifted ring, thrifted bangles

I had a few girlfriends over for drinks and X Factor, followed by a night on the town. I love to go out and dance – there’s nothing like a good tune, an Amaretto and lemonade and a little space on a packed dancefloor to throw some moves.
I went for a floral theme for last night’s outfit – the tights have a rose print which isn’t quite clear from the pictures. I kept the accessories simple and let the prints do the talking.

It’s wet and grey here today – the kind of day that calls for a hat! I built today’s outfit around this beige knitted delight, found after a rummage in a charity shop bin. I wanted to keep it pretty classic – shirt, jeans, boots, but with a twist. The high necked shirt is a wardrobe favourite and looks really vintage, while the amazing boots toughen up the whole outfit.
I’m going out with friends for drinks and dancing later tonight, so another outfit post later! 🙂

The inspiration for this outfit came from last night’s episode of America’s Next Top Model – Celia was wearing a yellow floral skirt with a tough biker jacket and I thought she looked fantastic. So here we go! I’m trying out new ways to take interesting pictures inside the flat, as it’s way too dark/cold/wet/all of the above to venture outside.
I’m working on my payday wish list and will share it with you all later… payday is Friday so I better get a wiggle on! 🙂
