Gap jeans, thrifted blouse, Primark cardigan, Primark boots, thrifted hat, thrifted bangle
It’s wet and grey here today – the kind of day that calls for a hat! I built today’s outfit around this beige knitted delight, found after a rummage in a charity shop bin. I wanted to keep it pretty classic – shirt, jeans, boots, but with a twist. The high necked shirt is a wardrobe favourite and looks really vintage, while the amazing boots toughen up the whole outfit. I’m going out with friends for drinks and dancing later tonight, so another outfit post later! 🙂
ASOS dress, H&M tights, ASOS pixie boots, Primark cardigan, thrifted belt, Steve Madden jacket
The inspiration for this outfit came from last night’s episode of America’s Next Top Model – Celia was wearing a yellow floral skirt with a tough biker jacket and I thought she looked fantastic. So here we go! I’m trying out new ways to take interesting pictures inside the flat, as it’s way too dark/cold/wet/all of the above to venture outside. I’m working on my payday wish list and will share it with you all later… payday is Friday so I better get a wiggle on! 🙂
Every girl should own a classic mac! This beauty from Primark is the perfect autumnal cover up. Paired with a cosy cardigan and snuggly scarf, it’ll take me right through to the depths of winter when I’ll break out my fab Diesel parka! I’m heading out to do some more charity shop shopping today… hopefully I’ll come back with an armful of goodies to share with you all! Hope you’re having a wonderful Saturday, whatever you’re doing. 🙂
I love a good headband. I think wearing one can really pull an outfit together and this navy blue one finishes mine off perfectly. So, it’s Friday night and thank goodness for that! I’ve got a weekend of charity shopping, family visiting and X Factor watching ahead – how about you?
First of all, let me say – I have fallen in love with this dress. I picked it up at a charity shop a few months ago and was pretty disappointed when I got it home – I couldn’t think of a way to style it, it didn’t seem to go with anything in my wardrobe and it’s a really clingy jersey fabric so I didn’t think it could ever be flattering! I put it down to an impulse buy after a long day hunting and threw it in a drawer. Last night I decided to take action. I tried it with a few different things and ended up at the outfit I wore today. Because the dress is so clingy, I used the cardigan to disguise my lumps and bumps and belted it to give shape. The tights are purple (they always look black in these photos!) and the accessories are tan, both to bring out the colours in the dress. I think it works pretty well! PS. How AWESOME are the shoes?! I have to admit, I didn’t wear them for work… they’re waaaay too high! I wore vintage green leather Mary Janes instead, but think these look loads better.
