As Inspired By… Not Just Medical

Lovely Saskia over at Not Just Medical really rocked a some over the knee socks a while back – I loved her grey pair teamed with those cute brogues and a simple, fuss-free outfit, so thought I’d try it for myself. I must admit to feeling slightly ludicrous wandering round Tesco in this get-up, but it felt good to try something new and stick to my New Season Resolutions.

What do you think of the knee high style? Will you be pulling up your socks and skipping (these socks make you want, nay – need – to skip) through your day? Or are you leaving your Pippi Longstocking days back in primary school where they belong? Do tell.

I love your outfit here. I definitely will not be shunning long socks. I hate the fact that the cold year is already making me turn to tights & I think knee-high socks will help me eke out that hate just a little longer before the real chill sets in!

I have a black pair and a grey pair I wore to death last year! And will be rocking them this year, great alternative to tights.

Love the cuteness of this outfit, and to walk round Tesco in anything else but pj’s or joggers will get you looked at. 🙂

Loving this look, I love Just Not Medical! Knee high socks are great but a pain as they always fall down! You’re looking fab though x

Oh I love this!! Such a gorge look.
I used to love the knee highs but they don’t really suit me these days. I’m feeling Topshop Uniques thigh-high chunky socks though… I might have to experiment with them just for the lolz!

This is possibly my favourite outfit of yours. You’ve styled it so well! I love over the knee socks. I have a few pairs and they look really good with skirts and dresses.

I was thinking about your posts this morning when i was going to work in the pouring rain wearing my only coat with a hood that makes me look like paddington bear, my grey tunic dress for work and black t bar shoes. I thought that if I did an outfit post every day like you I would look as though I was going to my first day at primary school!! My satchel bag and patterned laptop case did nothing to help!!

you look so adorable! i occasionally wear knee high socks, but they do annoy me as they always slide down whilst i’m walking! they look ever so cute teamed with tights though, plua the static holds them up a bit better! 🙂 thank-you for your lovely comment, jen! x

Oh boy – socks do seem to be back with a passion this season. I did accept a challenge to style my sole pair of knee socks from the fashion boards a while back, and was amazed when the day was fairly hitch-free and nobody really commented. Did feel a bit Pippi Longstocking though, although she WAS cool..
I’m not sure if i’ll be investing in any more ( I saw a feature in the Times Style mag on Snuday on socks and there was a paiur for £75!!) But I may give my pair another outing..

I bought some knee high socks the other year but they just made my legs look stumpy and fat i thought haha. i like wearing them with calf or knee high boots though, just peeking out over the top.

I do really want to try this look but my legs are not quite right for it – the squishy flab above the knee and below the hem looks awful! Perhaps over dark tights it might look better but I’m still not sure.

Anyway, enough of my woes. You look FAB! I especially like the layering of the tshirt/dress/belt.

I have always loved the knee high look. This outfit reminds me of a nautical/preppy theme, combined into one.
This is exciting and something new xx

Argh, love that dress! I’ve embraced over the knee socks recently. Although mine keep falling down so I look like a right numpty pulling them up every 2 secs.
