I’ve always been a straight-up-and-down kinda gal – no, (definitely) not figure-wise (no one can ignore these hips o’mine) but certainly when it comes to prints. I love stripes and my wardrobe is bursting with nautical niceness in every shade imaginable.
When the lovely folk at http://www.very.co.uk offered me free reign on their website (well, almost) to choose some goodies to feature on the blog, I went straight to dresses and set up camp to do some deciding. And when I happened upon this dotty delight, I knew it had a place amongst all those stripes.
The dress and black brogue boots are in constant rotation – both are so easy to wear, so comfortable and oh-so perfect for autumn! For a dreary Monday morning, I styled the pieces with a tough leather jacket, intricate earrings and matchy-matchy tights. A winner, I think!

Spots for me I think. I just find them easier to wear, although I am gradually revising my opinion on stripes.
I’ve never ordered anything from Very (or even looked at their site I have to confess!). These things are lovely. My heart will still belong to stripes though. xx

Never used Very, but that dress is gorg. I have one from H&M but with buttons down the front which is great for big boobs.

I’m always one for the stripes. But the dots look great on you. The dres is sorgeous. And the new haircut looks better and better.
I used to wear loads & loads of stripes, but recently I seem to being drawn to spots more & more often!

I’ve had a pair of polka dot Converse from Very on my wishlist all summer. From that you might be able to guess that I’m a spot person, but I love stripes too.
Stripes for me! Personally, I always feel like a little girl in polkadots, brings out the girly side in me whereas perhaps stripes are a little more masculine? Think Audrey Tatou in Coco Avant Chanel – a woman on a mission. Would be interesting to perhaps subvert this; spots being more tailored or stripes being more feminine? jazzy ♥

Love the dress and boots. I always have a browse on Very.co.uk but never seem to purchase anything, must look harder!
