Thrift Find of The Month – Bumper Edition

Posted in Daily Outfits, Second Hand Shopping.

I think second hand shoppers should go into hibernation for the winter months – the car boot sales are closed, charity shops are full of Christmas cast-offs and there’s never any heating on at the community centre jumble sales.

But March, as well as bringing marginally warmer weather and 38 minutes of sunshine a day, brings thrifty finds by the armful…

This chiffon blouse was originally from Reiss, but I picked it up for £4.99. I love the delicate fabric and spring-like print.

The tooled leather belt was £2.99. It’s a vintage piece – the leather is butter-soft.

My suede pumps were £12 from Primark. The mini chair was an Ikea find.

This leather box bag was my favourite find, even if it was a little expensive at £6.99.

And here’s what’s keeping me happy (and warm) every night – the wood burning stove in our new house.

Have you found any amazing bargains this month?

The leather bag is stunning, i love how you say £6.99 is expensive – when you’re in the thrifty frame of mind anything over 50p seems expensive, but compared to highstreet, that bag is an amazing bargain!

Love that tooled leather bag – that would sell for £60 easily on the high street and it wouldn’t even be as nice. A great find. xx

Ah you’ve found some real treasures! Especially love the bag, and sometimes it’s worth spending that little bit extra!

Funny you should mention thrifting. I’ve just wrote a post about how I never bother attempting to thrift mainly because I never feel I have time. I’ve aimed to spend a couple of hours one day just to go hunting for some good finds. What places do you usually check out in Leeds?

Yes I am sooo jealous of that stove! I want a mini tour of your new place 😀 although it will only make me jealous re: my lack of house *sigh* I definitely want to go to a carboot sale now they’re all starting up again though!

Oh Jen, that blouse is gorgeous! I liked it from afar but I love it even more now I’ve seen the closeups.

I think I found November and December grimmer in terms of finding charity shop bargains. Everywhere was crammed with boring winter coats and there was just nothing interesting to be found! Seems to be brightening up now though thank goodness.

And hurrah for the new house! From the little you can see in the photos it looks amazing and I’m so jealous of the stove. Would love to see some more photos if you want to share them on here 🙂
