Who Stole Summer?

Posted in Daily Outfits, Fashion.

Of course it was too good to be true. Summer in March, in the UK? Get your head out of the clouds and your legs covered up, Holmes!

ASOS trousers, Topshop jumper, H&M necklace, ballet flats c/o Sarenza

I knew the glorious weather wouldn’t last long, but it was still a shock to wake up to grey skies, miserable drizzle and a distinct chill in the air. And on a Monday too – come on, Mother Nature! Throw me a frickin’ bone here.

As soon as I saw Jazmine wearing these trousers for the ASOS Future Stylist competition, I had to have them. I love the tropical print and think the black background is very flattering on the thighs – a great combination!

Another photo of cherry blossom

Since buying a new camera, I’ve been obsessively shooting cherry blossom. I love, love, love the pink petals and as I’m still learning how to use my (quite frankly, ridiculous) piece of kit, I find the stillness of inanimate objects much easier to capture than the constant movement of my cat. So expect to see many, many more photos of flowers here! Sorry about that.

What are you wearing today?

Bee.

DRIZZLE? Damn, Jen. You need to get yourself to the west country πŸ˜‰ It’s still gorgeous weather here, perfect for a cider….or ten.

Wow those trousers are incredible! It’s obligatory to take photos of pink blossom and magnolia in the spring! x

you look just lovely, the trousers are ever so you jen! i never thought to team mine with a slouchy jumper, tucking something in the trousers seemed like the only option for me, so i’ll definitely have to go and try your styling! xx

Really loving this outfit! Love how you’ve got the black base with highlights of bright colour. Perfect transitional look, if you ask me!

Also I’m kinda the same when it comes to practising my photography, always taking pictures of random flowers haha!

Bring on the cherry blossom Jen, I love it!

Love this outfit, and I seem to have been quite lucky with the blue skies I got today. Ok it was a little chillier than last week, but fingers crossed we’ll get a bit more sunshine before it all goes downhill.

Oh, and I love your lipstick matching your necklace…looks fab! I can’t believe how long your hair’s got either! x

My hair is so long now! I feel like Rapunzel! πŸ˜‰

The lipstick is Topshop’s ‘Oh My’, just FYI! x

I thankfully held fire on the bare-leg front this morning and embraced a similar pair of Zara floral trousers from last S/S. Reverted back to the sad fact that what I was wearing was more cheery and summery than the actual weather….

Love your trousers!

Ooooh, I love them! They look really striking worn with all black too & don’t look like too much at all.

Love these trousers! They definitely brighten up a cold Monday. I was a little sad to have to put my coat on before heading to work this morning. x

Gorgeous trousers, I tend to stay clear of patterened trousers but you’re right about the black background……so flattering xxx

I love those trousers! What is the sizing like on them? May have to purchase. πŸ™‚
I had packed away a lot of winter stuff, so it was a massive task trying to find something warm enough to wear when the sun buggered off.

Hey Kel, they’re quite true to size, I’d say – these are a 14 because I wanted them a bit looser but they’re actually too big around the waist so would say just get your normal size! x

You woke up to grey skies – I woke up to snow! It’s mental to think that last week we could easily just kick about in a t shirt!
I love your trousers, the pattern is awesome! πŸ™‚ xo
