Rose Gold

Posted in Daily Outfits, Fashion.

I’ve developed a slight obsession with rose gold. It’s such a flattering shade – softer than yellow gold, warmer than silver and totally on trend, darling.

The grey, dreary scene outside my bedroom window had me searching my wardrobe for soft, pretty colours. These dusky pink jeans were crumpled up in the back of a drawer – hence the creases – but I think they’re a pretty good match for my much-adored rose gold studded Zara bag. Apparently I can’t even walk past a branch of Zara without ‘popping in’ and emerging 30 minutes later with a bag full of goodies – this silk and jersey tee is another recent purchase. I just can’t resist a studded shoulder!

I finished my outfit with some nude Topshop ballerina flats, which I’m not sure are meant for outdoor use. After walking round in them and feeling every stone, crack and blade of grass, I’m wondering if they’re actual ballet pumps…

What are you wearing today?

I love the matching studs on your bag and top and the whole colour palette of this outfit! When the sun goes into hiding I think the only thing to do is try and emanate some rays yourself through your clothes 🙂

My mum has been switched on to rose gold for years, she’s a trend setter!

Are those the shoes that came with the sticker on the bottom saying they’re not meant for outdoor use and won’t last long? I bought them online, so by the time I’d seen the label they were already in my house.

They didn’t have the sticker on but I’m starting to think that’s exactly what they are! What’s the point of indoor shoes though? Crazy! 🙂

Ahh these colours are so complimentary to each other! Such a lovely outfit and I’m really liking the jumper! I really love seeing what statement necklaces you wear with your outfits, it always brings an extra edge to them! And hey why not wear the Topshop ballerinas! I’ve had my pair for two years and as long as you only take them on occasional outings and NOT in the rain then they will survive!

Those jeans are gorgeous as is the bag (but I think that goes without saying). I am avoiding Zara like the plague and the mo, I know if I go in there I will just spend, spend, spend! I always buy my ballet flats from primark; they are really comfy and as I know they will be destroyed within months, cheap! In my mind indoor shoes are called slippers; if I’ve bought shoes they will be worn outside dammit at whatever cost!

The studded finishing touches are gorgeous.
Have to agree with you on the Topshop flats, killer on anything but smooth ground.

Love the bag, I’ve recently bought a rose gold watch and a few other accessories, I think it’s especially nice for the summer.

I love the colour of your jeans! I tried to dress a bit more trendily today… I rolled up some tab coloured jeans do they looked like ankle grazers and mixed casual with smart by wearing a blazer and some Keds lookalikes. All old clothing (a top from when I was 15!) so no expense incurred. I’m really noticing the inspiration that your blog and others are giving to me! Thank you!!

You don’t seem to be very impressed by the nude ballet flats, would you be willing to sell them on as I believe they have stopped selling them and I would love a pair xx.
