A Few of My Favourite Things

No, not raindrops on roses or whiskers on kittens. Although I do love whiskers on kittens.

Here are a few of my favourite things, collected over the last month or so. A less rage-inducing ‘haul’ post, if you will.

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Rouge Noir

I love the colour of this polish – a deep, rich burgundy with a high gloss finish. Plus, the little Chanel pot makes me feel so fancy. Sadly, it chips like a bitch and no top coat can redeem it. Sob.

Knomo leather iPad case (c/o) | Primark beaded necklace

This beautiful pink leather iPad case was sent to me by knomo – it’s such a delicious shade of raspberry and far too pretty to be used solely for technology. I’ve taken it out as a clutch a few times and it’s the perfect size for all my evening essentials.

The beaded collar necklace was a fantastic £6 Primark find and I wear it almost daily. It adds just the right amount of ostentatious bling to any outfit.

Joules Animal Print Jumper (c/o) | Zara knitted beanie

This adorable reindeer jumper deserves a whole post of its own (non-tacky Christmas jumper, anyone?) but I’ve been wearing it constantly in an attempt to inject some festive cheer into my life, so it deserves a mention here.

The Zara knitted beanie was an impulse purchase but has kept my hair neat and tidy in the face of Yorkshire’s delightful winter weather… a winner.

Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Colour in Crimson | Khiel’s lip balm (c/o)

Dark, berry shades are my favourites at the moment and this creamy Bobbi Brown lipstick is top of my list. It’s slightly gothic but makes a real impact when worn with flicky liquid liner.

The Khiel’s lip balm is a little wonder – it’s been keeping my lips soft and smooth despite gale force winds and drying central heating.

Vintage Kodak camera, car boot sale

Last but not least is this sweet 60s Kodak I picked up at a car boot the other week. It came in a cute leather case and now sits on display in my living room. I’m developing a bit of a ‘thing’ for old cameras – they’re much more visually appealing than modern ones!

Have you picked up anything pretty this month?

I’ve just blogged about my Joules jumper! Absolutely love it, and was torn between the one I chose (Dalmatian) and the one you have. Now think I may have to invest in a second one after seeing your lovely photos…
Loving the ipad case too, and it really wouldn’t be Christmas without treating yourself to the odd bit of luxury, so the Chanel polish is perfect.

Hope you have a fabulous Christmas, Jen!

I love that jumper! I have a reindeer jumper from Zara that I absolutely love…it makes me sad that I can only really wear it one month a year! x

I love all the things you have here, especially the case! I bought a gorgeous red and black chunky jumper from Matalan last week, I love it so much! x

That Kodak camera is so cute – I know what you mean about modern cameras, Polaroid cameras are absolutely horrible now! It’s a shame about the nail varnish – you’d think such a classic would have such a flaw ironed out by now! x

Having read this I believed it was very enlightening.

I appreciate you taking the time and effort to
put this short article together. I once again find myself personally spending a lot of time both reading and leaving comments.
But so what, it was still worth it!

Just found your site Jen. Excellent quality info and superb pics. Christmas jumpers are never tacky, they remind me of my favourite Christmas film, National lampoon Christmas Vacation. My dad got me hooked on it and I watch it every Christmas as a tradition.
Keep up the good work.
Have a great Christmas everyone.
