Breaking Out The Florals

This time of year is always a tricky one to dress for. This morning I was so desperate to shed the boots and coats of winter that I found myself wearing a striped sundress and minimal cardigan. NO. This is not right. After some tough talk from my cat Lily (who gave me a very disdainful look) and a few minutes hanging my arm out of the window to gauge the temperature, I finally compromised with a pair of ‘jazzy’ (factual description from two friends, given individually) trousers.

I’ve had these trousers for a few years now and they’re always the first thing I pull out of summer storage when the sun finally shows its face – the bold, floral print is a really easy way to brighten up an all-black (my current colour of choice, alongside pink) outfit. They make me feel infinitely more cheerful because I know as soon as it’s warm enough to wear them, summer can’t be far off.

LOVE them. Gorgeous print. I picked up some ‘jazzy’ trousers from New Look recently and love how the change a simple looking outfit.

If jazzy means fun, cute and totally appropriate for Spring then yes, that’s the right word for those awesome trousers 🙂 I love how you kept everything else simple so the look is not overwhelming. And those shades are to die for. An A+ look 🙂
