Coming Over All Ladylike

From one extreme to another – yesterday I wore an indecently short skirt, today’s is so sensible it’s positively elderly! Take a look…

Forever 21 skirt, H&M tee, Topshop flats, ASOS necklace

I bought this skirt from Forever 21 in Chicago – I packed completely inappropriately for our trip so was constantly ‘nipping in’ to shops to stock up. The midi length is a great alternative to super short styles when it’s a bit chillier or I want to look more modest.

Teamed with a pretty peach tee, some matching flats and a slick of lipstick I think the overall look is rather girly… luckily I had my spiky ASOS necklace on hand to add a bit of edge.

What are you wearing today?

PS – tomorrow I’m heading down to Brighton with some other lovely fashion bloggers for Brighton Fashion Week. I’ve never been to Brighton and hear the thrift shopping is fantastic – any recommendations for me? Leave your tips and ideas in the comments. Thank you, beautiful people!

Love that skirt! I’m a bit afraid of midi skirts incase they look too granny. I’m sporting a polka dot tee and some chinos today 🙂 xx

Brighton has been my home for the last three years and I love it here. The North Laine area is the best place for shopping. Try Beyond Retro for cheap vintage and Snoopers Paradise for bits ‘n’ bobs!

Hope you have a great time! xx

That skirt is beautiful! I love the cut and the length on you – so perfect for sunny days and colder ones too.

Teehee, I love this skirt & your indecently short skirt as well. Both are adorable, and I love the way you’ve styled them. I’m more of a midi girl myself, but that’s really because I’m so clumsy that I’m liable to fall over & expose myself multiple times in a short skirt – and that’s just on the way down my front steps, haha.

I always pack less for my holiday so I can totes justify spending my money on more clothes when I am away! You can’t EVER go wrong with a skirt like this! It’s so simple and elegant and perfect on those days when you neglect the fake tan and what not! And I hope you have a lovely time thrifting away in Brighton!

I love this length on you and the polks dots are great. Have fun in Brighton, when I went it was really rainy so I hope the weather is better for you!

I think they way you style the skirt makes it look a lot younger, you look like you’re pretty tall so you can easily pull of this style/length skirt, I know I find them so much easier and nicer to wear. Oh and your hair colour looks soooo soo nice x
