How Do You Like Your Eggs In The Morning?

… is a question I’ll be asking my mum this Mother’s Day! In a combined effort with my siblings and siblings-in-law, this Mother’s Day I’m treating my mum, grandma and mum-in-law to a morning of pampering followed by a home-cooked brunch and a glass or two of champagne.

To give the occasion a bit of flair, Cath Kidston sent me a gift card so I could explore their Mother’s Day gift selection. I picked up a few things to make brunch go with a bang, including this beautiful Safari Melamine Tray. The eiderdown is also a Cath creation.

I thought I’d better get practising my egg-poaching skills in preparation (my mum is a kick-ass cook) so I whipped up a couple and served them on toast with some sliced avocado and a pinch of sea salt. I like my eggs a bit firmer so leave them to cook a little longer, but let’s face it – eggs are good in any form.

I still have some funds left on the gift card so I’ll be back to purchase another couple of things before the big day – my grandma has a Miniature Schnauzer called Harry who looks a lot like Stanley, so maybe this Travel Pouch would be a good shout?
