We all know black is eternally chic, navy will take you from season to season and all style problems are fixed with the application of a crisp white shirt, but there’s just something about colour. A lipstick red pencil skirt will put a wiggle in your step. Pink patent flats will make you click your heels. And a neon orange manicure will distract you from work all day long (typing has never looked so good!).

When the sun’s shining, I automatically reach for the brightest pieces in my wardrobe. If people don’t shield their eyes as I walk past, my outfit’s just not doing it’s job. Cobalt blue and sunshine yellow is my favourite summer colour combination – it never fails to make me smile.

What are your favourite colour combinations?

Love the colours in this outfit! Although my first thought upon seeing these photos was that your hair’s grown SO MUCH! Looks lovely 🙂 xx

Love this outfit! The two colours look fabulous together.
Unfortunately I tend to wear black pretty much all the time!

Great colour combo! I love that you paired the bold top and saturated trousers with neutral accessories, makes the boldness of both pieces pop more. Brilliant.

I looove those colours together. They work surprisingly well. I´ve never been into colours all that much (I am more of a black/grey/navy blue/white/tan kinda girl) but I did get a bit swept away by the colour blocking trend last season and own a few brighty looking things. Just got a pair of really cute sort of blood orangey coloured shorts yesterday (even though I really don´t like orange) and I love them. Paired with a mint green top and turquoise nails.

I love this outfit on you. Blue trousers always look fab on everyone else but I cant get past the block in my mind that prevents me wearing them, as my dads work gear have always been blue trousers! (must phone his head office and complain…)

I love this colour combination, I’ve been wearing something similar, mustard shirt and navy skirt. Also, I want that top x

Lovely colour combo, Jen and I’m loving the length of your hair at the moment, too.
Hot pink, orange, turquoise and yellow are my summer go to colours with some purple and silver chucked into the mix. x

Firstly, you’re looking more and more awesome with every post (not that you weren’t awesome to begin with).
The yellow and blue combination looks great. I really love the colour of the top!

I’m really liking camel with red at the moment, which is probably not very summery at all! Your hair is growing so fast, I wish mine would take inspiration from it – I am now at the real “huddery mess” stage.

Lovely combination! I think navy is eternally chic, too. My default hue for summer is white (for winter black. exciting). xo

This outfit is so fresh and summery. I love bright red and cobalt blue but the colour Im favouring this summer is the sort of tobacco coral one thats about on trousers alot this year.
