Project Take 10 Challenge 7 – ASOS

Posted in Daily Outfits.

, pI don’t like to brag, but I do like being one tenth of Project Take Ten. The fashionable folks at ASOS laid down the gauntlet for our seventh challenge, providing us with the most wonderful piece to work our magic on…

Wearing: ASOS cape, Zara dress, Accessorize tights, Topshop faux fur stole, Matalan bag, Zara shoes, Mango ring
On: Sunday 23rd January
For: An afternoon stroll (I switched shoes!)

This cape has kept me warm all winter. I wear it almost every day as it seems to sit perfectly atop any outfit. Okay, so it’s not the most practical of pieces – driving in this cape, with its restricted arm movement, is not advised. Carrying bags is hard too, unless you go for the whole Kate-Moss-crook-of-the-arm thing. Which I do.

Impracticalities aside, I think it’s true love and I can’t wait to wear this beauty unbuttoned and sans scarf over floaty spring dresses. Take a look at how the other girls worked it:

The cape is stunning and I have loved seeing this challenge on my favourite blogs. I love the colour palette of this outfit, the tights really do make it. Perfect xx

Love all the autumnal shades in this outfit, and absolutely coveting those tights!
As I said on Jazmine’s blog, I actually popped this little beat into my “saved” basket yesterday for the asos comp, so was dead excited to see it on Take Ten.
Do you get the items quite a while in advance for each challenge? You mentioned you’ve been wearing it for a while? Or have I got the wrong end of the proverbial?

i love how you styled the cape with the fur stole, very chic! the colour of your tights are very lovely, too. i do agree that it is a little impractical to wear with bags. never again will i wear it to college when i have a big bag full of my artwork and plan to go shopping after! i must have looked like such a sight, hehe. this had definitely been my favourite challenge piece, though. xx

The cape is gorgeous, I have a very similar Topshop one. Wish that had been a gift though! Anyway, you look lovely in yours and those burgundy tights are just fab =)

I love how you girls make all the same item look so completely different.
Capes suit you, love the faux fur and colour of the tights with it.

Love the cape on you – teaming it with the fur stole really changes the whole look of it too! I was actually eyeing them up on asos earlier, now you have convinced me I want one. 🙂

This cape is definitely my favourite Take 10 item so far and I love how you made the outfit interesting with dark red tights and a furry scarf. I still haven’t managed to find a cape that will work for me though, one day!

I love everything about this look – of the 10 you are my favourite because of that fur stole.

If only the weather in Australia got cold enough to need so many layers!!
