Spring Bling

zara jewellery necklaces

I’m a huge fan of costume jewellery. I only own a few pieces that are actually worth anything – my wedding and engagement rings and an inherited necklace – and the rest of my collection is pure tat. Of the nicest possible kind.

Now we’re fast approaching summer, I’ve spent a bit of time refreshing my jewellery collection with some new pieces. My bling preferences change as quickly as the British weather – one minute I love dainty necklaces and spindly rings, the next I’m all about the chunky chains. I’ve gathered my current favourites together hereto share with you in this very blog post.

Vera Meat Sweet Tooth Necklace.
I know we’ve been here before, but I think this guy deserves as much exposure as possible. He’s been my almost-constant neck companion since I picked him up in Vera Meat’s Williamsburg store. I love him.

Zara Blue Carved Necklace.
Zara is my favourite place to pick up cheap and colourful jewels. Their statement necklaces are the best on the high street and they also have a great range of earrings, too. I love this blue carved necklace – it looks great contrasted against orange or white.

Catbird Stacking Rings.
I am absolutely obsessed with Catbird’s amazing stacking rings. They’re cult favourites in the US but sadly not available here yet, so I stocked up at their Williamsburg shop a few weeks ago. These dainty rings come in various thicknesses and textures – perfect for mixing and matching for an eclectic look.

Links of London Friendship Bracelet (c/o).
Bracelets are usually not my thing – I spend my days typing and I hate anything that clangs about on my wrist. But I just love this fabric and yellow gold Friendship Bracelet, kindly sent to me by Links of London. And it doesn’t clang! I bet it’ll look great with a tan, too.

Zara Double Chain Necklace.
Another Zara classic – this orange chain necklace is so juicy, I basically want to eat it. It’s double layered for maximum impact and is so easy to throw on over a plain tee. This is my current fave for the tropical thing I’ve got going on.

spring summer jewellery

So that’s how I’m accessorising this spring/summer… how about you?

I love jewellery and i’ve noticed that Zara is pretty great for great big, statement pieces. I like COS too and noticed that Accessorize have some pretty decent things at the moment.

Jen, hate to be ‘that’ person but where is your J dish from? Been looking for something to hold rings and this looks perfect 🙂 x

It’s from M&S! In the home section, think it’s actually a coaster (they have matching mugs) but works perfectly as a ring tray! 🙂

Top tip: Free People UK sells a couple of Catbird pieces (the threadbare stacking rings and the tiny chain one): here you go. Handy to know if you’re craving a Catbird fix (is it bad that visiting Catbird is one of the main reasons I want to go to New York…?).

I love all things Vera Meat and that tooth necklace is perfection! Also, that orange Zara piece is super statement. I must add it to my summer jewellery collection. Hx

Gosh, I also change my jewellery preference quicker than you can say “cheese”. At the moment I’m all about dainty. Mind you, that sweet tooth necklace is to die for. Love it.
