Sunday Smile #21 – Accessorize AW10

Posted in Daily Outfits, Fashion.

You all know I like a good accessory. Nay, love a good accessory. A statement necklace, blingy ring or perfectly-tied scarf can transform an outfit from basic to beautiful. So when the lovely folk at Accessorize asked if I’d like to review some items from their AW10 collection, I said “hell yes”!

I decided to put Accessorize to the test and create three completely different looks using the pretty pieces they sent me.

Work
Photobucket
H&M dress, thrifted shirt, Primark tights and brogues

Photobucket
Vintage Rosette Statement Necklace, £20

Photobucket
Twilight Fairy Statement Ring, £16

Photobucket
Navy fabric bracelet (not yet on website)

Keeping colours and textures crisp and simple means you can pile on the sparkly stuff! I love this multi-layered necklace.

Rest
Photobucket
H&M dress and jeans, Primark cardigan, Zara boots, Fossil bag

Photobucket
Clock necklace (not yet on website)

Photobucket
Glamour Brian Barn Owl Ring, £12 (Yes, Glamour Brian!)

Photobucket
Silk scarf (not yet on website)

The flat boots and a chunky knit are functional AW pieces, while the scarf adds a pop of colour and the owl ring brings the cute!

Play
Photobucket
H&M dress, thrifted blazer, Oasis shoes, H&M belt

Photobucket
Satin Petal Textured Clutch, £32

Photobucket

Photobucket
Feather Clutch, £30

Photobucket
Mega Statement Bling Domed Ring, £20

Aren’t these bags just to die for? I simply couldn’t choose between the two, so used them both. And the finger candy just seals the deal.

There were a two pieces that didn’t fit into my outfits but are still more than blog-worthy…

Photobucket
Printed scarf (not yet on website)

This easy-wearing scarf is perfect for throwing on with jeans to add detail and interest to something simple.

Photobucket
Ophelia Jacquard Oversized Clutch, £28

Jacquard is a key trend for AW10 and I love this girly version. It’s big, bold and beautiful – great teamed with an LDB for a special night out.

I loved every single thing Accessorize sent and wish I could keep it all! The brand has always been a favourite of mine, especially for those detailed pieces that make an outfit sing. I now have a wishlist as long as my arm and will be hotfooting it to my nearest store to stock up for the new season. Thanks, Accessorize!

Are you an Accessorize fan? Do you have a favourite from the website? How do you use accessories to chop and change things from your wardrobe?

I know the point of the post was the Accessorize bits, but actually I’m more convinced that I need that H&M dress in my life – how very versatile!?

Of course I do like the Accessorize stuff – they always have lovely things but it’s too expensive for my budget I’m afraid. Particularly like that Ophelia bag though – such lovely colours 🙂

All these outfits are great, bar the first one. Just doesn’t work for me. All the rest are great like I say.

Gorgeous – I love the way you’ve styled the dress in so many diffrent ways – and really featured the accessories too. So often for me accessories are an afterthought, but I will definitely be putting more thought into them in future!

Accessorize to me are leaders of the fashion accessory pack (there name kind of gives it a way) and I too have always loved there detailed pieces, I also like how every item is so individual.

The play outfit steals it for me; those bags are real show stoppers. I remember longing for the Oscar bag a few years ago, I don’t know if they still sell them, but I would have almost died for on of those bags xx

I love the feather clutch. All the accessories you’ve been sent are gorgeous and I love the way you’ve styled them.
I do like Accessorize but find it quite expensive so only purchase when they do the 70% off sales 🙂 x

Everything is just stunning and I must say, I adore how you’ve styled and accessorised it all. Much more fun than just straightforward pictures of it.

Brian the owl is just classic but I think I love the bags more. A little out of my price range but oh so lovely. I may have to stretch the budget and invest in one of them.

Love the twilight fairy ring – very Dior-esque!

Sadly like many others have mentioned, I will have to look out for it in the sale, as although Accessorize do some lovely bits I can’t bring myself to spend £16 on a ring that will turn my fingers green…eek x

I rarely buy my accessories from anywhere else . . . their collections are always gorgeous without fail! Especially love that second scarf.

I do love how you’ve styled these beauties, Jen. The scarf is my favourite of all.
I can spend hours looking in Accessorize, usually before I board a flight to India. I get the inspiration and then snap up exactly the same goodies at source. xxx
