The Collar(s)

The final three! It feels fantastic to post these last three outfits, bringing my count up to a solid 30. I did it! Sure, there were a few stumbles along the way, but I managed to go a whole 30 days wearing only 30 items from my wardrobe. I’ll be doing a round-up of all 30 outfits and asking you to vote for your favourite tomorrow.

Cute collars are definitely my ‘thing’ for spring – they have an uncanny knack of making all outfits look sweet and slightly whimsical. Even leather trousers, I bet.

My Max C striped tee has a bib-style collar in white lace.

The Topshop blouse I picked up at the charity shop has a Peter Pan collar…

… and so does this Zara tea dress.

See? Totally cute. Are you rocking the collar for spring? And aren’t you so glad 30 for 30 is O-V-A-H?!

I’ve been rocking the collar since December! 😉
In fact I’m rocking it right now! :’)

29/30 AWFUL outfit! do something with that skirt-it does nothing for you, and the sleeves on that blouse make your arms look fat.
30/30 much better! good use of shirt! bit more original.

Ahhh you did amazingly well! Can’t wait for your round up post but I think number 30 may just be my fave of the bunch!

Don’t you just love anonymous haters…

You totally rock leather, utterly jealous! I love that blouse too, peter pan collar is a fav of mine at the moment! I actually really enjoyed your 30 for 30 (though I’m guessing you can’t wait to get back into your wardrobe again!). It’s really helped me be more creative in my outfits as I actually think I’m working with LESS than 30 at the moment!

Well done for completing it 🙂

I love these outfits! I adore things with collars at the moment! I also think its really cute that you are identical poses in all 3 pictures! I do the same thing!

I was so glad when 30 for 30 ended!

Yay, congrats on finishing 30 for 30. You did a great job. And lovely final 3 outfits. Love the trousers on the top outfit. And absolutely love the last dress!

Good job, well done, Jen! bet you’re dying to get into that wardrobe and wear everything you’ve been deprived of.
Are those the trousers you were having doubts over? They look totally different rolled up that extra few inches. xxx

The first and second outfit are horrendous sorry. Those pants hurt my eyes and give an unfortunate case of moose hoof and I can’t stand the whole ‘I like being different so I’ll wear socks with sandals’ vibe you give off way too often.
The second outfit does your legs and arms no favours but the third one – quite nice!

Also, you need to work on your poses. Either that or make sure that the distraction that always seems to be to your left or down by your feet is not present during photo time. Also, Orthopedic shoes can often correct duck toes. Keep up the good work!

Anon, I’d like to see your outfits sometimes?
Jen loving all your outfits especially the Zara number. I’m really loving collars at the moment, in fact I wore a polka dotted shirt with a Miu Miu esque collar underneath a jumper today. Congrats on completing the challenge!

The perfect end to a great challenge, I bet you can’t wait to go rummaging in your wardrobe now xx

Sadly, I agree with anonmyous (though I’ve got to say this to anonymous – there’s a difference between constructive criticism and just being plain rude).

I’m just not feelin’ outfits 1 and 2. Love the pieces individually but together I just can’t love ’em. HOWEVER, outfit number 3 is fantastic! Really love the colours and the necklace is fab.

You’ve inspired me to try to whittle down my wardrobe and use items more. I need to start WEARING my clothes, rather than trying to ‘keep’ them for special occasions.

You’ve done it! I’ve seen a number of people giving up the 30 for 30 thingy (and I wouldn’t even dare to consider it). Loving the combination of Peter Pan collar and leather skirt.

Well done on completeing the challenge.
I love the leather skirt, I am constantly on the look out for one! I think it looks great with the peter pan blouse!
Also the Zara dress is so so gorgeous! It really is!

Hi

just wanted to say – yes, sometimes your outfit choices may not be my cup of tea. But, I enjoy your blog as you seem to be a real and genuine person who enjoys fashion/clothes – and also has soemthing interesting to say.
I don’t see the anonymous commentators putting themselves out there, perhaps they do and are just jealous that they aren’t as popular. Could that be because you are just inherently rude, insecure and unpleasant people. Return to the playground whence thy came from!

wow, your 30 for 30 round up had me curious about the discussion of the leather skirt. people need to get a life!! i love your style, your writing and you ability to mix and match. it’s inherent in a challenge like this that not every outfit is going to be a total winner but if people don’t have something nice to say, they should keep it to themselves. excellent job on your 30 for 30!

But your poses are still poor and you can come across a bit patronising in your writing style…sorry :S! but at least that can be viewed as constructive 🙂
