The Wedding Venue

Posted in Daily Outfits, Weddings.

When I first wrote about my upcoming (well, in 13 months) wedding I said I didn’t want to overload the blog with my planning – if you want to see endless images of possible bouquets, check out my borderline-obsessive Pinterest – but I thought I’d share these photos with you anyway.

Last night Rob and I visited our wedding ceremony venue to pay the deposit and wander round in the sunshine. If you live in Yorkshire you might recognise it – I’m not going to give the name because I’m weirdly protective of it but it’s a beautiful old building with the most gorgeous grounds. We’ll be having our ceremony and some photos here before going to our next venue for the afternoon and evening celebrations. We’re slowly booking the big, important things and everything seems to be coming together nicely, which is very exciting!

I’m wearing a super-cute and super-short dress I picked up in the ASOS sale. How adorable are those gingerbread men? I love this dress but it really is rather short… I’m sure I flashed my pants more than a few times while wearing it. Don’t worry though – they were nice pants.

Wow that looks beautiful. I want to get married at a castle in the forrest but they don’t have many castles in the U.S. =/

Well it sounds like it is all coming together nicely and I am actually quite excited for you so I can’t imagine how you are feeling! This dress is so adorable but you’ve got to be careful with your pant choice when it comes to short/flowy dresses!

Those grounds are stunning! Looking forward (very far forward!) to seeing some lovely pics with that gorgeous backdrop! I love the dress too, and nice pants are totally there to be accidentally flashed! x

Love love love your homemade wedding plans! & the gardens look lovely 🙂
I am getting married in December and so all the pretty summer tea part ideas (I orignially wanted a may wedding lol) flew out of the window and we are going for mulled wine and paper snowflakes. And lots and lots of pine cones!!
My only advice (not that you need it) is to have beautiful flowers that smell lush!!!
Congrats hun and happy planning xxx

Love the new hair. It suits your face really nicely. Can’t recognise the venue from these snaps (I live in Yorkshire), but I’m sure knowing you it’ll be gorgeous.
