Thrift Find of the Month – September

Posted in Daily Outfits, Second Hand Shopping.

Warehouse silk dress via charity shop, Steve Madden leather jacket, boots, Urban Outfitters trilby, New Look earrings, Primark and Me & Zena rings

I’ve been neglecting my thrift recently – my weekends have been consumed with house hunting (we found one! More on that later) and partying, so early morning flits to the car boot have been passed up for more duvet time. And I’ve been hitting the high street, rather than second hand central. Naughty, naughty.

Last weekend I rectified that with an afternoon jaunt to my favourite place. Now, someone who lives nearby obviously loves Warehouse’s silk dresses. This is the second I’ve picked up, and it’s just as beautiful as the first. The simple shape and cute embroidered detail makes it so easy to style – for this look I toughened it up with my leather jacket, a straw trilby and those ever-present boots. This one’s definitely a keeper.

Have you found any thrifty bargains this month?

I agree, I’ve been too tired to get up to go carbooting, and I simply am down on my luck in the charity shops at the moment!

As for thrifty finds this month, my best has to be the New Look cowboy boots I scored at a carboot for £3!

house hunting? exciting times! 🙂 The dress is gorgeous, I love it teamed up with the hat, kinda verging on sophisticated indie chick 🙂

That dress is a fab find. I found an amazing silk blouse in Oxfam yesterday, I didn’t recognise the brand name but it was lovely, so I bought it for £2.99. Upon Googling it I found that it would have cost about 200 Euros when new! That £2.99 blouse is the most expensive thing in my wardrobe. Crazy!

I’m a fairly new reader to your blog and I’m well and truly hooked! I really love the combination of fashion mixed with your day-to-day life. It’s very well written and I never lose interest as can sometimes happen with blogs. I’m trying myself… it’s much harder than I thought (keeping it up to date and interesting etc, etc) so any advice would be well received!
Keep up the good work!
