What I (really) Wore This Christmas

Posted in Daily Outfits, Fashion.

I don’t know about you but for me, Christmas is an excuse to eat a ridiculous amount of cheese, watch copious amounts of TV and not be particularly bothered about what I’m wearing.

Over the last few days I’ve worn leggings, Christmas PJs, old university hoodies and always, always slippers. I do like to get a little dressed up for Christmas dinner and the Boxing Day buffet, but as soon as I’m back on the sofa, out come the comfy clothes. And when I finally get spruced up enough to face the outside world, I’m more M&S than D&G…

See?

These boots have hardly been off my feet since they arrived on my doorstep. Flat, brown leather boots may not be the last word in high fashion, but they are so. useful. I love them.

And the bag? Oh, the bag. It was a Christmas present from Rob and of course, I’m in love (as I often am with inanimate but truly stylish objects). He ordered it on December 11th and it arrived on December 22nd, with a certificate of authenticity stating it was handmade by Janet and Lindsey (thanks ladies!) on December 20th. Now that is quick service for handmade leather goods. Thank goodness for Zatchels, because without the bag I fear this outfit would be straying into suburban mother territory.

What did you REALLY wear this Christmas?

That bag is absolutely gorgeous.. and super quick service is always a bonus! Normally on Christmas day I dress up all nice, but this year I literally could not be arsed! I wore a wonderful leopard print onesie all day and my new comfy slippers! Your outfit is fabulous by the way, love your necklace!

Well done Rob, amazing choice on the satchel. It’s gorgeous.
Can’t believe how long your hair is getting!
I like to dress up Xmas day, I wore a gorgeous plum pleated dress with my Bertie wedges…then it was into the pj’s with a baileys for good measure.

What a gorgeous satchel! Rob did goooood.
I wore a skirt with patterned tights and a statement necklace for boxing day but today (having dug the garden) I am wearing old faded skinny jeans and one of OHs reject sweaters. Very stylish.

I love to get dressed up at Christmas, jeans or pj’s just wouldn’t do it for me……generally I’d wear a dress as they look great and have plenty of room for the old belly to swell xxx

Ooh I love your boots! I think brown flat boots always look classically stylish 🙂 I would love to say that I was dressed up on Christmas day but I wore a combination of a onesie and a Christmas jumper! xx

I wore the most amazing little black dress from Jaeger Boutique… and as soon as dinner was over I was forced to change into an old jersey one instead as it was too constricting on my poor stuffed stomach!

I love your outfit – the bag gives it such a great touch, and the nacklace is awesome. Happy Christmas to you!

That satchel is perfection! What bag envy I now have! A glittery Urban Outfitters version was on my Christmas wish list, may have to purchase it with my Christmas pennies after seeing your post.

Haha! I love the emphasis on the ‘really’…I got dressed up for church at noon and in the evening for dinner I wore a black velvet maxi dress, but in between that I had on my robe and PJs…. That bag. I want. 🙂

I wore *that* sparkly velvet Topshop dress that everyone seems to have, with black heeled brogues and my new love, an Alex Monroe necklace, on Christmas day. Yesterday we nipped out for a Nando’s and a quick recce of the sales. In the daytime it was a dress and loafers, but I spent the evening lolling in my pyjama trousers and a stripy t-shirt, while consuming vast amounts of cheese and chocolate. My boyfriend has pretty much forbidden my onesie in his presence – bah.

Honestly? Some grey adidas joggers with hideous chavvy gold stripes that I originally bought as gym wear but have shamefully worn them more out of the gym. In my defence I did have a two and a half hour driv eon christmas day though.

So I think in comparison to me you look VERY d&g! I’m really liking the colour of the bag, it’s festive without being over the top

Pretty dapper for Christmas =D I love those boots! I haven’t stepped out of my pajamas and onesie since the moment Christmas dinner finished! I should get out soon. Apart from making a long trip to Wales, I haven’t been able to tear myself away from disgustingly good TV lol

I love the bag, such a lovely gift. I just stayed in with my parents on Christmas day but still managed three outfit changes: PJs, running clothes and a Primark jumper dress – my dad was banned from taking any pictures of me with his new camera! x

Love the boots and the bag, I completely agree they’re the perfect finishing touches!

I’ve barely been out of pjs in the last few days, apart from when I had to go to work!!

Oh gosh! Such a fabulous zatchel, I adore the metallic finish and the care and workmanship that has gone into making such a fabulous bag xxx

I love the satchel too. Although I had quite nice outfits, I think, most of them were covered up by my favourite plain cream coloured cale turtleneck from M and S. I like to think it was giving a winter white Christmas effect, but probably was leaning more toward the Mum territory too.
