What I Wore – Chicago

Posted in Daily Outfits, Fashion, Travel.

Greetings from Chicago! It’s currently 6.30pm here but about 12.30am in the UK… the perfect time to write a blog post, obviously!

Although most of you will be asleep in preparation for Monday morning (sorry about that), I thought I’d share a few outfit shots from my holiday so far. Today is our last day in Chicago as we’ll be flying out to New York tomorrow, so here’s a little look at what I’ve been wearing in the Windy City…

Days One and Two

American Apparel tee, Topshop skirt, ASOS necklace, Urban Outfitters hat, Katie and Kelly sandals

We landed in Chicago on Thursday afternoon but our first day was lost in a haze of jet lag and mac ‘n’ cheese. Friday was gloriously sunny so we headed up to the roof terrace of the apartment we’re staying at and took some shots. The views from up there are stunning – you can see Lake Michigan’s port in the background – and there’s a fire pit, BBQs, sun loungers, comfy chairs and even a TV. Amazing.

Day Three

Topshop dress via eBay, H&M cardigan, Converse sneakers, ASOS necklace

Saturday was a bit dull, so we headed up the Sears Tower (now known as the Willis Tower) where vertigo ruled as we inched out on to the glass balconies and looked out over the city. More amazing views of Chicago from the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.

Day Four

House of Holland dress via charity shop, Hummel hi tops c/o Sarenza, ASOS necklace, Emma Fox bag, Target belt, Urban Outfitters hat

Today (or yesterday, UK readers) was gorgeously hot and sunny so bare legs were necessary… although the combination of short skirt + Windy City + boat tour probably wasn’t my cleverest idea. We visited the famous Bean and marvelled at the skyline reflected in it, then took hundreds of photos lying down under it. We also went to The House of Blues for gospel brunch which was AMAZING. More on that (and all our activities) soon.

Tonight we’re heading up the Hancock Tower for cocktails at sunset, then it’s on to NYC tomorrow. See you soon!

You look amazing glad you are having a nice time.
Clearly picked a better time of year to visit Chicago than me, I went in the winter and could only see clouds from the top of the Sears tower.

Enjoy the rest of your trip.
