Life through my Instagram lens…

I’m wearing quite a lot of new things in these images – a Cos leather sleeved dress and Zalando boots for a day in the studio, my Antoni & Alison coat from TK Maxx to keep me warm on my walk to the bus stop, Hunter wellies (c/o) and a Somerset by Alice Temperley scarf (c/o) in the Dales, an orange Whistles dress and Zara studded belt in the Cos changing rooms, Zara kitty tee and Whistles silk trousers and an Antoni & Alison wool skirt with Somerset by Alice Temperley brogues (c/o), both in the Hoxton Hotel for LFW.

Apparently I’ve shopped A LOT in the last month (whoops).

I have my own desk in a shared working space called Duke Studios, and last week we had a party. Highlights include pulling some ‘urban’ dance moves to Snoop Dogg, successfully avoiding the shots of Jager and this laser-cut Brie. Human nakedness and contributions to the Douche Jar happened after I’d left, sadly (or maybe fortunately).

I cannot stop looking at this photo of the cardboard version of me and Rob. Rob bought a FoldableMe of himself so I could pop him on my desk, so I did the same and for a brief time they were united. Now they sit separately, but I think they look best together. Get yours from Foldable.me. Now.

A few weeks ago I went to the Cosmo Awards – a cracking night which ended without an accolade for me, sadly. But luckily my Duke Studios Freelance Fam were there to console me, and put together this truly amazing consolation prize for me. Thanks Lil, Lauren and Adam.

After a crazy month of travel and work, it’s been lovely to relax at home again over the last couple of weeks. This time of year triggers my nesting instinct, so I’ve been buying homey things like these amazing antlers (£19.99, TK Maxx), curling up in front of our wood burning stove, cuddling with Travis and drinking gigantic glasses (thanks, Ikea) of red wine. The Scrabble coaster is from Etsy.

A few weeks ago I styled three looks for Camden’s Cycle Fashion Show. I sourced all my pieces from Camden Lock Market – everything’s vintage and practical yet pretty for optimum bike riding! I love how the looks came together and wish I could’ve kept that gorgeous vintage dress on the right. Lush.

I’m a huge fan of tapas – who DOESN’T love miniature version of food? – so was delighted to be asked along to the launch of La Tasca’s new autumn/winter menu. We got to see a live cooking demonstration – a giant paella that filled the room with the most delicious smell. Total yum.

During LFW I spent a day with Shopikon, ending with a meal at Brawn. Delicious food and even better company in the form of Gem and more than one bottle of wine.

I met Aude, contender for the cutest cat of all time. Sorry, Travis.

I’ve rambled on about my trip to the Yorkshire Dales twice already this week, but thought these stunning views deserved another airing. That sunset is just awesome.

The new Topshop/Topman in Leeds finally opened and man, it is a BEAST! The biggest flagship outside of London and three floors of Toppers’ treats. Yes please.

And finally, I went along to the Harvey Nichols AW12 fashion show. It’s always a great night, with champers, canapés and gorgeous clothing. I loved this luxe leopard print coat.

What have you been up to recently?

Ooh I love that print in your house. Agreed on the homey front, this time of year I’m a nightmare for buying things for the house, latest is lanterns and old jars. God knows where they will go.
Love the red dress on you.

Aww the Foldables! Such a cute idea, totally getting one of these for Alex for crimbo 🙂 Here’s hoping your blog isn’t on his ‘to stalk’ list so he doesn’t see this…

Love your hair, it’s getting so long now! Really suits you with the short fringe and everything. Mine is slowly growing – it’s just covering my ears now but overall still a terribly awkward length.
