If you read my post on Sunday you’ll know I was a finalist in Oxfam’s competition to win two tickets to the Isle of Wight Festival, and thanks to you lovely people, I won! So I decided to give vlogging a go and created a little (okay, ridiculously LONG and waffly) video about my festival packing. It’s basically me, sitting in my bedroom, boring on about a bag full of clothes. So if you’re into that kinda thing, watch away…
Be kind, it’s my first one! Oh, and if you’re wondering, I’m wearing a vintage dress, ASOS necklace and Topshop’s Ooh La La lipstick.
What’s in your festival backpack?
PS – Second video on festival beauty essentials coming soon!
Very helpful 🙂 Please make more videos, you are a lovely to watch, even though that sounds weird hahaha x
Thank you Charlotte! It doesn’t sound weird at all – very lovely of you to say! 🙂
you’ll have a grand time on the isle. it’s a funny little festival, would love to see springsteen! if you’re at all interested, i did 3 posts on what to pack and what not to pack on my blog. http://amyknowsbestuk.blogspot.co.uk/
have loads of fun!
Aw lovely first vlog Jen! I’m so tempted by ‘vlogging’ too – maybe I shall give it a go now 🙂
Anyway, fab post!
Samantha xx
Ahh, I live across the solent from the Island 🙂 Are you ferrying from Southampton or Portsmouth?
I used to be such a regular to the IOW festival, it’s fantastic and you’ll have an amazing time 🙂 xx
We’re going from Southampton. I’ve never been to the Isle of Wight so looking forward to the experience! 🙂
really great video, thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you, this is so helpful. I’m going to my first ever festival this year (reading) and I can’t wait for your next video! 😀 xx
Thank you Megan! Reading/Leeds is a great experience, you’ll have a blast.
Love the video Jen and it’s so nice to hear a Yorkshire accent whilst I’m dahn sarf! I promise I was listening to the festival packing chat, but I was somewhat distracted by the beauty of your bed linen! So pretty! Where is it from?
Maddie xxx
Thanks Maddie! I always think my accent sounds ridiculous so glad you like it. The main duvet (red and white) is from Ikea and the throw (pink floral) is from Primark, surprisingly! Although many years ago, so not sure they’ll still have it. They do have similar stuff though – their homeware section is well worth a look 🙂
Love your first vlog! I’m not even going to a festival and I want half those outfits 🙂
LOVE the Betty bag, and the Hunter’s are so you Jen. It was lovely seeing a video of you, totally didn’t imagine you like this! You seem really down to earth and lovely xxx
I’m off to IOW too. Hope you have a good time! 🙂 xx
I must agree with the others, great to watch! LOVE your accent too! Have fun!
Congrats! I’d love to read a review of your experience there, my boyfriend is keen on going to Isle of Wight festival.
Congrats on winning the tickets! Really enjoyed your first “vlog” – looking forward to watching the beauty vid next. I’ve been to quite a few festivals now but you’ve given me loads of new tips that I’m going to take on board 🙂 Especially the legging/pyjama one!
Hope you have a lovely weekend and that it stays dry for you!
x
Brilliant vlog! Do more please lol! 😀 xxxx
Loved this! I always take denim shorts because you can wear them twice and playsuits are silly, how are you supposed to use a portaloo wearing one?!
I take those kids L’Oreal shampoo that smell of fruit anf use them as shampoo and shower gel, less to pack!
I’m off to Reading this year 🙂 xx
This is great…you should do more videos! have a great time at the festival – very jealous 🙂 x
Ahh, Jen! As a reader of your blog for some time now I have to say it’s so nice to see you do a vlog! Not only great info in it but (and this may sound silly so forgive me) it feels like I know you a bit better!
PLUS, gorgeous vintage dress.
x
Congratulations on winning! So jealous you get to go to the amazingness that is the Isle of Wight festival! And it is about time you started making videos! Keep making more! Love the dress intensely.
