My eBay Collections

Posted in Fashion, Home, Second Hand Shopping.

I’m a long-time fan of eBay and have used the auction site for many years. Back in my thrifting days, I scored some of my best vintage bargains through eBay – faux fur coats, floral tea dresses, leather brogues… aaaah, those were the days!

Now I’m more inclined to browse for homewares – eBay is jam-packed with gorgeous furniture, vintage suitcases, enamel cookware and a whole host of delightful bits and bobs for the home. I could (and do) spend hours browsing for pretty new things, so when eBay them-actual-selves got in touch and asked me to help launch their eBay Collections, I was delighted.

eBay Collections is a new service that allows you to collect your favourite eBay finds together. It’s kind of a more visual ‘watch list’ – you can create groups focused on particular themes, styles, wishes… whatever you want.

To help launch eBay Collections I created 12 collections of my own, based on my searches over the last few months. I’ve just moved into a new house so the home features heavily, but I indulged my 23 year-old self with a Vintage Fashion Collection… and was surprised to find so many amazing pieces!

My favourite Collection is ‘My Mid-Century Home’ – there is so much gorgeous mid-century furniture on eBay, it really is the best place to find a G-Plan side table or Ercol dining chairs. I’ve already earmarked a new dressing table for the bedroom and have my eye on a stunning 1960s mirror. You can see them and everything else I’m currently coveting in my Collections here. What’s your favourite eBay find?

I’m working in collaboration with eBay to bring you this post.

Ooh, looks really interesting – a bit like eBay mixed with Pinterest? Can’t wait to try this out.

Looking forward to trying this out. But I’m bad enough on Pinterest let alone having another place to collect….. the blog could suffer.
