Take 10 isn’t all about shoes, clothes and accessories, y’know. This styling decagon is branching out into consumer goods, and our first non-wearable challenge item is a… camera?
When I first heard we’d be styling up a Lomography camera, I was confused. Every camera I’ve owned has been an ugly lump of black or silver plastic – definitely not something worthy of an entire blog post. But then I discovered the Diana. She’s small, cute and comes in a range of colours and patterns for the fashion-conscious photographer. The perfect candidate for a blogger styling challenge!

Diana Mini ‘Love is in the Air’

Charity shop dress, Georgia Rose sandals c/o Sarenza, belt c/o Next, Topshop ring
I chose the adorable ‘Love is in the Air’ style and matched the bright blue of my camera with this sunshine yellow chiffon dress, picked up from a charity shop for £4.49. I love how the clouds on the camera work with the dreamy florals on the dress.

I removed the flash for styling purposes but I’m genuinely excited to get out there and take some snaps. The Diana gives photos a soft-focus, over-exposed effect – perfect for an Instagram/Photoshop Actions addict like me.
Here’s how the other girls styled their cameras…
L-R: Harriet, MJ, Vicki, Sabine, Ellie, Susie, Sarah, Sherin, Paula and me.
What do you think – can a cute camera be part of an outfit? Or do I look like an overdressed tourist?
I love the Diana….and I adore these Take 10 posts!

Is that the Topshop dress? Did you find it in a charity shop? How lucky its worth like £40! I’m very jealous! I agree with the print and colours of camera and the dress combination. x
Such a cute camera, looks great against the colours of the dress x
The Diana looks lovely but they are useless cameras! I brought one and often only one or two frames a roll come out 🙁 the Lomo fisheye camera is brill though
I LOVE the diana – I have two! Greedy guts! I have the original diana mini and the diana dreamer, which I am going to use with the instant back. Can’t wait to see the snaps you take 🙂 Also love your dress x
I cannot believe you got that amazing dress from a charity shop!!

Lovely post. The camera looks awesome – might have to invest 😉

*great camera
I have a Diana and I love it! I’ve fallen head over heels for your dress here, Jen. It’s gorgeous!
That dress is simply gorgeous Jen! Looks fantastic on you. I don’t know much about photography but the camera is pretty sute too.
I love the Diana! And it looks perfect against that beautiful dress! I think a camera can be a good accessory… As long as you have a nice one! Then and again I suppose this rule follows with all accessories.

Jen, you look fab and the mini diana you chose is such a cutie too!
I love your dress – it looks perfect with the camera! I am so looking forward to going out and taking some photos with mine now!
I always carry a camera, so having a fun colourful one is of course a nice idea ! Plus they take fab photos!
I often take your camera along with me anywhere and everywhere, and start taking photographs. Sometimes it will yield amazing and creative results. By the way, I love lomography because it emphasizes casual, snapshot photography.
Fabulous!!
