Project Take 10 Challenge 14 – Lomography

Posted in Daily Outfits, Fashion.

Take 10 isn’t all about shoes, clothes and accessories, y’know. This styling decagon is branching out into consumer goods, and our first non-wearable challenge item is a… camera?

When I first heard we’d be styling up a Lomography camera, I was confused. Every camera I’ve owned has been an ugly lump of black or silver plastic – definitely not something worthy of an entire blog post. But then I discovered the Diana. She’s small, cute and comes in a range of colours and patterns for the fashion-conscious photographer. The perfect candidate for a blogger styling challenge!

I chose the adorable ‘Love is in the Air’ style and matched the bright blue of my camera with this sunshine yellow chiffon dress, picked up from a charity shop for £4.49. I love how the clouds on the camera work with the dreamy florals on the dress.

I removed the flash for styling purposes but I’m genuinely excited to get out there and take some snaps. The Diana gives photos a soft-focus, over-exposed effect – perfect for an Instagram/Photoshop Actions addict like me.

Here’s how the other girls styled their cameras…

What do you think – can a cute camera be part of an outfit? Or do I look like an overdressed tourist?

I love Diana cameras, I have my eye on the original black and blue one. They all look amazing though and I really like this Take 10 challenge.

Is that the Topshop dress? Did you find it in a charity shop? How lucky its worth like £40! I’m very jealous! I agree with the print and colours of camera and the dress combination. x

I love the Diana! And it looks perfect against that beautiful dress! I think a camera can be a good accessory… As long as you have a nice one! Then and again I suppose this rule follows with all accessories.

I often take your camera along with me anywhere and everywhere, and start taking photographs. Sometimes it will yield amazing and creative results. By the way, I love lomography because it emphasizes casual, snapshot photography.
