Well, it’s the very last day of my Christmas/New Year holiday and I’m really not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. I’ve had such a great break, I feel like a student with nothing do all over again! I think next week will be tough, but I’m sure I’ll get back into it. Do you have the post-holiday blues too?
Last night my best friends and I went out for a belated birthday celebration. We got all dolled up and hit the town despite the snow and it was SO MUCH FUN! We went to a karaoke bar in Leeds called OK Karaoke. All the private singing booths were free last night so we booked one for 2 hours and sang ourselves hoarse. It was the best night out I’ve had in a long time!
There’s something to be said for a night out that involves an excess of fun, rather than alcohol. I kicked off my shoes and gave it my best moves until the very end. What a great night!
Today has been spent tying up loose ends and getting as much as possible done before work takes over once again. Unfortunately it hasn’t been the best day – as I was driving home the biggest, most terrifying pheasant flew straight into my car and broke my wing mirror. I was so upset because the pheasant must’ve been hurt but I couldn’t stop anywhere. The perils of motoring in the countryside, I guess!

Sounds like a fab night! I would have also been terrified if I pheasant flew at me! My friend once had a bird fly into car through the window!

Never been to one of those karoke places, sounds good if the general public can’t see you belting out a bit of Shakira!
