This time of year is always a tricky one to dress for. This morning I was so desperate to shed the boots and coats of winter that I found myself wearing a striped sundress and minimal cardigan. NO. This is not right. After some tough talk from my cat Lily (who gave me a very disdainful look) and a few minutes hanging my arm out of the window to gauge the temperature, I finally compromised with a pair of ‘jazzy’ (factual description from two friends, given individually) trousers.
Trousers, ASOS (old but similar here) | Jumper, M&S | Jacket, Michael Kors (old but similar here) | Shoes, c/o Sarenza (old but similar here) | Bag, Michael Kors partially c/o Sarenza | Necklace, Whistles | Sunglasses, Orla Kiely
I’ve had these trousers for a few years now and they’re always the first thing I pull out of summer storage when the sun finally shows its face – the bold, floral print is a really easy way to brighten up an all-black (my current colour of choice, alongside pink) outfit. They make me feel infinitely more cheerful because I know as soon as it’s warm enough to wear them, summer can’t be far off.
Do you have an item in your wardrobe that signals summer?
You look great! Really love the floral!

Lovely, excellent transitional outfit 🙂
I have a floral sundress that makes an appearance with tights when it’s sunny but still to cold to bare the legs!!! Flower Power lol xx
Love the floral pant!

Love these trousers! This time of year is tough – I feel too wintry in black opaques but its definitely not bare leg territory yet. x

If jazzy means fun, cute and totally appropriate for Spring then yes, that’s the right word for those awesome trousers 🙂 I love how you kept everything else simple so the look is not overwhelming. And those shades are to die for. An A+ look 🙂
The floral print of your jazzy Asos trousers is lovely and perfect for Spring! I’ll be looking forward to (hopefully) seeing some pink outfit pieces making an appearance as Spring progresses. I love Spring!
