Primark dress, belt and ring, thrifted shirt, New Look wedges, Me & Zena ring
Is there some rule that warns against red lipstick and bare legs? ‘Cause I think I just broke it! Oh well.
I love throwing this chambray shirt (originally from M&S but picked up in good old St Gemma’s for £2) over anything and everything. It’s the perfect way to dress down an outfit that was straying dangerously close to trailer trash nautical. I mean, come on – sequins, wedge heels, red lipstick and stretch jersey? You know what I’m saying!

I’m almost always dresing down glam, it just doesn’t suit me going all out. However, a much used item is a 70s style gilet I have, I love chucking it almost anything

Now you know me, I don’t really do dressing down, my dear Jen, but my trusty vintage denim waistcoat is the comfort blanket I turn to if it all looks a bit too OTT.

This is my favourite outfit of yours so far I think! You suit the lips and legs combo very well. My go-to item would have to be my bleach denim jacket. I think denim is the easiest thing to dress something down, but without going too casual.

my go to is my military army green jacket. puts the hammer on. especially the shorter the skirt goes. heavy dash of jacket does the trick.

Never heard of the no legs and red lips – I break that one on a weekly basis! I think you look fab!
My safety blanket is my leggings, I’m not too confident with my bare legs so I always revert to the leggings if I think my outfit look at little ott (ie.e most days!) xx

I always dress down my sequins and blingy gems by wearing denim or something slouch. Hareem pants with tons of chains and bling. Yes please!

hmm i don’t know, i think just wearing something with flats can dress it down. and also it depends on what kind of cardigan i have on and how bold my lipstick is.
I haven’t heard of a red lipstick barelegs one – usually I do know all these old wives type things – red shoes no knickers maybe, but red lipstick, no! (I wear red shoes AND knickers just to clarify!)x
to dress down a ‘dress,’ i actually wear jeans with them…hehehe. it’s also an excuse for me not to shave but still look fashionable..LOL.

I think I probably just alter my shoes to dress things up or down. A pair of plimsolls with the laces taken out seems to dress down a girly frock very nicely.

hhmmmmm i dunno if i have one item to take dressy down a notch, when i wear a dress for work i try to tone it down with some sorta flat pump and a cardy. I LOVE this look Jen!! red lippy and bare legs should be your staple for the summer 🙂 x
