I never tire of the nautical look. It’s always been a favourite of mine – there’s something effortlessly chic about the pairing of navy and white, maybe with a flash of red thrown in. I got these fab peg leg trews with my code from Gem’s competition (which I won! Happy days!) and I love them. I’m all about the tailored trousers right now.

Apologies for the short, rather un-insightful post today, folks. I’m going camping tomorrow… yes, really. If you follow me on Twitter you might’ve already heard about my ‘extensive’ preparation, including buying two bottles of rosΓ© wine (necessity), painting my nails gold (thanks Models Own) and shopping for dark coloured separates (girl’s gotta look good). Thankfully, my dear friends are expert campers and have told me to bring nothing but myself and my travel hairdryer. Stay tuned for my packing post tomorrow!

Any tips for surviving a weekend in the great outdoors? What should I pack? Is there any point taking my GHDs? And do I really have to leave my new buckle wedge heels at home? *pout*

I went camping for 3 days last year and that was my first time so i didn’t really know what to expect either! I don’t think there is much point taking GHD’s. I couldn’t even take a hairdryer which was horrible! We did have a camp spot with electric though which was good for charging up my phone. I would defiantly suggest getting a spot with electric if it is your first time because otherwise it really is back to basics!

I thought it was going to be awful but once i got there you forget about the interent, tv and all the other comforts you have at home and really enjoy something a bit different. I hope you have a great time! xx

I never seem to get tired of the nautical look either, it’s just so versatile and easy to update.

Good luck with the camping, we are looking at going camping in a few weeks time, so you might be able to give me a few tips. πŸ™‚

And the umbrella is one of my faves of yours x

I am loving the lippie here! I love camping! No don’t waste valuable packing space with GHD’s, take an extra bottle of Rose in it’s place….

Those trousers are amazing! I need them in my life. I’m just looking on the tesco website now. Do they have buttons on the sides?

That jacket is so cute too! x

I agree with rach’s comment above…pack another bottle of vino instead of the ghd’s. Go for a “chic” bun…aka a “my hair is a mess so i’ve shoved it up” bun instead!

Love the jacket! xxx

Love your umbrella! Good luck camping, I went last summer, and, er, it wasn’t really my thing… but I’m sure you’ll have a great time!

I’m a bit of an outdoors pro, but I always look mental when I’m doing it… let me know how you get on!

Oh camping is brilliant fun. Leave the GHDs at home and pack some dry shampoo and/or a hat. Lots of layers for nighttime and plenty of wine and you’ll be sorted.

Nautical is one of my favourite looks, love your cardigan! Well as I have never been camping I don’t really have any tips for you, but wine sounds like a good idea!

I love the nautical look too, it’s so easy yet looks really pulled together and chic.

My top tips are dry shampoo and wet wipes. Possibly wellies if it’s been raining around where you’re going to go.

I definitely try to have as little experience with sleeping in the great outdoors as physically possible. It just reminds me of Duke of Edinburgh and the torture that was! Good luck!

Love the Chanel-esque bag and the owl pendent πŸ™‚ I’d leave the GHD’s, you can get gas canister straighteners for about £15 though?

Please take a look at my brand new blog, Fashion Stereotype I’d really appreciate any feedback or advice you may have πŸ™‚ Thank you!
