ASOS dress, Gap tee, Primark shirt, tights and shoes

In honour of Jessica’s celebration of stripes, today I went for classic chic with a Breton tee, LRD (Little Red Dress) and a dash of denim. Of course, I made it my own (or totally ruined a nice simple look, whatever!) with some kooky heart print tights. Go check me – and lots of other stylish stripy types – out on What I Wore, one of my very favourite blogs and a real inspiration for A Little Bird.

Are stripes a staple in your wardrobe, or are you a block colour beauty? I’d love to know!

PS – I need closet conundrums for this week’s Wardrobe Wonderings… ask me a question for an instant style solution and I might even feature you on the blog!

That is such a pretty dress! I am a massive stripes fan, there was a point where I barely wore anything *but* stripes, though I tone them down a bit more these days as hard as it was for me to believe, there are other patterns out there just as nice!

Hey sailor jen 😉 this is such a fab outfit! Love it. I have far too many stripes in my wardrobe, due to a recent asos haul but I didnt actually realise how much the pieces I bought had it common until I looked back on my order. Definately stripes ahoy! xx

I’m a massive stripes fan, and often tend to look a bit like a sailor on the high seas in Breton top and denim flares!

Lovely! I did a post today about stripes, but not because of Jessica’s blog, what a coincidence though haha.

Ooh lovely – a really different way to work the stripes.

I must be going blind as I didn’t even notice the pattern on your tights until I read the text about them!

Blue, white, red makes a lovely outfit on you and the dress is perfect for summer. I love stripes, but somehow I find them difficult to wear – nearly as difficult as polka dots. But I guess that’s just silly me.

That dress is gorgeous! And the tights look great, they really make the whole thing! As for wardrobe dilemma…I’m going to a 1950s themed birthday party and don’t have a clue what to wear that will look cute and not be too expensive, plus its in about two weeks, eek! xxx
