After all my chatter about the wedding I went to on Friday, I forgot my camera. I was (and still am) absolutely gutted I couldn’t capture the day – even though lots of photos were taken, I love searching for those hidden moments others may have missed. I was also looking forward to sharing the day with you guys. Sob! Hopefully some decent photos will surface on Facebook… if they do, you’ll be the first to know!
The absence of my camera on Friday made me realise how much I adore taking photos. I have no real knowledge of photography, use a Sony Cyber-shot that is kindly on loan from my mum and I edit my photos using the ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ setting in Picasa (oh, the shame!), but I’d really like to learn more about the art. Here are some philistine snaps of the signs of autumn – they won’t win any prizes, but I think I did a pretty decent job…

Sumptuous nails

Ripened berries

Crisp leaves underfoot

Creature comforts

Damson and ruby red florals
Have you spotted any signs of autumn yet? Any photography tips for me? And what’s making you smile today?
I love your photos. I think you should maybe do an evening course in it at a local college, it’d be a fab way to learn.
Autumn is definately here, the tempretures road and theres crunchy leaves, i love them.
Today i’ve mostly been smiling at the foot that keeps poking out of my bump! x
Your photos are fabulous, Jen! The shot of your hand is very glam. xxx
Lovely photos!
I love seeing all the Autumn leaves outside- makes for perfect photographs xx
Your photos are lovely, autumn photos are the best…. there is always so much colour and life to capture! Hope you enjoyed the wedding, sounded like a good one! x
Dude, your pictures are always fab! I think if you were let loose with a big digital slr you’d produce some bloody amazing shots 🙂 Green and blacks hot choco? YUM! xx
Great pics, Jen. I enjoy photography but know nothing about it. Got my first ever digital camera for the blog, tend to use Picnic for editing. xx

Hot chocolate is an absolute must for the changing season. I love the ruby tones in your pictures – you know what looks good in a frame, and that is all that really matters.
I actually have a degree in photography and film, of which I remember nothing. There are crunchy leaves in my street, yay autumn.
Your nails are gorgeous. x
I love taking pictures to, B&W or Sepia always add an edge I find. 😉
Glad the wedding was amazing, sure you looked gorgeous.
xx
Ooh green and blacks hot chocolate – yummm! Lovely photographs, Autumn really is beautiful. The best photography related tip anyone can give you is to keep taking photos! 🙂 xoxo
The air is definitely cooler and it feels nice to drink hot drinks again 🙂
Your photos are always gorgeously stylish Jen!
I think it’s amazing how much nature can change in a couple of days. I went away on Tuesday and came back today and I swear that ALL of the trees have changed colour in that time period. I love autumn so much.
I think you are actually a great photographer! I’ve always loved taking pictures, but have never been very good at it, I think I lack the artistic eye 😛

What’s making me smile is my botanical bargain. I got a bunch of flowers from Tesco’s on Friday, reduced from £3 to 30p, expecting them to last about 24 hours. Well, they’re still going strong!
Fab photos. So many crunchy leaves on the ground now!
