Thrifted Topshop shirt, Primark white tee and belt, H&M jeans, TK Maxx sandals, My Name Necklace necklace, Topshop ring, thrifted bag

Last month’s TFotM (like my acronym, do ya?) was a particularly perky pair of navy blue high waisted linen trews that have fast become staples in my summer wardrobe. This month’s find is another wear-it-to-death piece – a classic checked shirt.

When I’m second hand shopping, I always look out for Topshop pieces. It’s a shop I don’t frequent because I find it a) a little intimidating and b) too expensive. Picking up Topshop thrift solves both those issues, as nothing is ever more than £5 and I could never be intimidated by Judith from my local St Gemma’s Hospice. She’s a doll!

I found this cute checked number at a car boot sale for £1. It’s the kind of piece I can just throw on when inspiration alludes me – like today. Sometimes, a girl just needs to kick it in jeans and a shirt.

Any amazing finds to share, dear followers? Have you gone car boot crazy like me, or would you take your warm and cosy bed over a muddy field any (Sun) day?

PS – Yes, I know the bag TOTALLY steals the show and is technically more of a TFotM than the shirt, being so gosh darn awesome and all. But I’ve already featured it on the blog loads, so today it takes a backseat!

I love topshop thrifting! I am so envious of that bag. It truly is fantastic!

I love the shirt! Amazing for £1. My recent favourite thrift find is a brand new Topshop top for £3. I think people just buy things without even trying them on or never wear them and end up donating them to charity – great news for us thrify shoppers 🙂 x

My 2 best carboot buy this week was a topshop leather bomber jacket for £1 saving for when the weather gets cooler, and a topshp pin striped linen jacket for £3, very happy girl 🙂

I love finding Topshop thrifts, i find it hard parting my cash instore unless it’s a sale piece. But you’re right, the bag does definetly steal the show! xXx

I don’t think I have ever bought a Topshop piece in actual Topshop! I totally agree with your reasons & much prefer a thrifted piece.

The bag…oh the bag…need I say more.
I haven’t been to a carboot for a few weeks now, but maybe just maybe might get round to going this weekend :)x

Haha I was about to say… that bag! But I am glad you have showed us this outfit today because I think some blogs often put it about that they dress in the height of fashion, clogs, lace and underwear as outerwear EVERY DAY and this just isn’t realistic. YOU, my dear, fly the fashionable flag for real women everywhere! Great find!

Gorgeous outfit! I love the belt, it’s really flattering – I’ve always been a bit afraid of belts (I have no idea why), but after realising recently how much they can change an outfit I’m getting into them more and more!

I never like anything when I go into Topshop but I’ve seen lots of nice things in charity shops from there – usually in a size 8 boo hiss – I don’t know why but I’ve noticed it for a few years now. Great find on the shirt and like you say the bag really steals the show.

I thought it was the bag you were showcasing, Jen! Gorgeous look for you, love the belt worn at almost Empire-line level, makes you legs look even more long and lucious.
It’s a good idea to have a mission when chazzing as it’s very easy to get bogged down with the huge range of stuff on offer.
My best find (so far) this year has to be my 50p 1970’s gingham California maxi. It fits so well it stops traffic.
Great post!

I also thought it was the bag you’d be OBSESSED with lately. 🙂 I would be to, it’s fab.

I love how you’ve belted the shirt, but left it open with the tee underneath. Very flattering.

My best find to date has to be a silver leaf brooch, painted in burnt orange and greens that looks fab in Autumn and always get’s comments. For a bargain price of 25p!! (I gave a £1 as I felt guilty!)

I’m sorry but I have to agree, the bag totally stole the show! I wish I found something like that at the thrift stores:)

I meant to comment on this yesterday and got distracted. Oops!

But I really love this simple chic look. The belt is too perfect. I’m going to have to try something similar very soon!
